| Issue | How to enter an exclamation (!) for a factorial in Calculus lessons, e.g. Preliminary Results on Infinite Series. The exclamation point key is not accepted. In Calculus 1 & 2, such as in Calculus 2 > Introduction to Series > Preliminary Results on Infinite Series, section 5, the required answer includes an exclamation point (!), which represents the factorial function. Pressing Shift-1 does not display an exclamation point or anything else and the answer is not accepted. There is no reference to factorial in the Special Keys text. |

Resolution
The entry required for a factorial (exclamation point; !) in Calculus 1 & 2 is to press the period (.) key. This will appear on the screen as a period, but the answer will be accepted.URL: http://platosupport.plato.com/3048
