ERROR: "Unable to load client print control" when trying to print reports in PLE or AS Algebra

Issue When you try to print reports in PLE or AS Algebra, the following message appears: "Unable to load client print control".
Resolution Install ActiveX control, then install Microsoft SQL Server plug-in if prompted

Resolution

The Microsoft SQL Server plug-in is not installed.

 

To install the Microsoft SQL Server plug-in:

 

  1. Click OK at the "Unable to load client print control" windows.
  2. Near the top of the screen, a yellow bar prompts "This site might require the following ActiveX control:   'Microsoft SQL Server' from 'Microsoft Corporation';  Click here to install… ".    Click the bar and choose Install ActiveX Control.    

      
  3. If you are prompted to install the Microsoft SQL Server plug-in, select Install.

  4. After the SQL Server plug-in is installed, you will be asked which printer you want to use to print the report.

  5. After choosing the proper printer, you will be able to successfully print the report.
