How to reset or ungrade a test

Issue A student was taking test and meant to save it, but clicked "grade" accidentally. The test was therefore graded before the student was able to finish it. How can a teacher reset or ungrade the test?

Resolution

To have a test reset or ungraded, wait until the end of the test period, then send all of your test reset/ungrade requests in at once. Here is what you should do to have a test ungraded or reset:

 

Gather the following information. At the end of the test period, send this information to PLATO Support Services, allowing 1-3 days for processing.

  1. Client ID
  2. User ID --- or Classroom ID if all students in a classroom need to be ungraded or reset
  3. Schedule Digest - to get this number, use the teacher's credentials to log in, go to Test Administration | My Schedules | locate the test schedule in question, then select View. The schedule digest will be in the last part of the URL in the browser's address bar.
  4. Let us know whether you want the test reset (all answers cleared) or ungraded (answers kept)
