How to input grades for Offline Activities in the PLATO Courses in PLE

Resolution

Add grade for a student manually to a PLATO Course "Record Completion" activity that accompanies an Offline Activity. You cannot set the grade on the Offline Activity itself.

1. Log in to PLE as an administrator.
   
   
2. Go to Account Administration and select Find Users.
   
   
3. Locate the student, click the menu button next to the student's name and choose View All Assignments.
   
   
4. Locate the assignment that contains the offline activity, click the menu button next to it and choose View/Edit Assignment.
   
   
5. Find the student and click the Status (Not Started, Started, or Completed) that appears to the right of the student's name. The Edit Assignment Status window will pop up.
   
   
6. Click the + sign next to the course or title name to expand the tree structure.
   
   
7. Keep expanding the tree until you find the offline activity for which you need to add the grade.
   
   
8. You can only enter a grade for the "Record Completion" activity that is below the corresponding Offline Activity. First, set the "Record Completion" activity status to Complete, then enter a number in the score field, then click OK. If the score field is grayed out and cannot be edited, contact PLATO Support and provide the location of the specific Record Completion activity that you cannot edit.
   
   
   
   
   
   
9. If you attempt to set the grade and click OK without setting the status to Complete, you will be prompted to set the status to Complete.
   
   
10. When prompted, click SAVE to save your changes.
    

The grade will now appear on any progress reports that list the grade for that activity.
