How to enter an exclamation (!) for a factorial in Calculus lessons

Issue How to enter an exclamation (!) for a factorial in Calculus lessons, e.g. Preliminary Results on Infinite Series. The exclamation point key is not accepted. In Calculus 1 & 2, such as in Calculus 2 > Introduction to Series > Preliminary Results on Infinite Series, section 5, the required answer includes an exclamation point (!), which represents the factorial function. Pressing Shift-1 does not display an exclamation point or anything else and the answer is not accepted. There is no reference to factorial in the Special Keys text.

Resolution

The entry required for a factorial (exclamation point; !) in Calculus 1 & 2 is to press the period (.) key. This will appear on the screen as a period, but the answer will be accepted.
