Multiple pop-up windows appear while launching courseware

Issue When launching courseware, multiple windows, as many as 30 or more, pop up and obscure the view of the courseware window.
Resolution Uninstall or disable Yahoo! Toolbar; tabbed browsing incompatible with PLATO courseware

Resolution

The Yahoo! Toolbar employs a "tabbed browsing" feature. This feature, when enabled, is incompatible with PLATO courseware.

Uninstall the Yahoo! Toolbar:

  1. Select Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Yahoo! Toolbar.

-or-

  1. In Internet Explorer, select Tools > Manage Add-ons > Enable or Disable Add-ons.
  2. Click on any Yahoo! Toolbar objects on the list and click OK.
  3. Restart Internet Explorer.
