Resolution

Make sure all files and subfolders in the \PWAY\CW folder are set to read-only (with certain exceptions noted below):

  1. At a workstation that is set up to run PLATO Pathways, use My Computer and navigate to the \PWAY folder on the PLATO Pathways drive.

  2. Right-click on the CW folder, and then click Properties.

IMPORTANT: You may see a square in the folder's Read-only checkbox, which appears to indicate that the folder is set to read-only; it in fact does not tell you anything. Ignore this, since it is used by Windows for other purposes; it cannot tell you whether all of the folder's contents have been set to read-only, so you must proceed to the next step.

  3. Select the Read-only box, and then click Apply. When you are prompted to Confirm Attribute Changes, select Apply changes to this folder, subfolders, and files, then click OK.

  4. If the WVU2 folder exists, remove the read-only attribute from its files and subfolders:

    1. Right-click on the WVU2 folder, and click Properties.

    2. Clear the Read-only box.

    3. Click Apply. Apply changes to the folder, subfolder and files.

  5. If the 801 folder exists in the CW folder, follow these steps:

    1. Open the 801 folder.

    2. Left-click on LANG.CLP, hold down the Ctrl key, left-click on MATH.CLP, then left-click READ.CLP, then release the Ctrl key.

    3. Right-click on any of the three selected files, and then click Properties

    4. Clear the Read-only box and then click OK.
